The Sandpiper HDF3-A metal pump is a bottom discharge, self-priming pump. This unit is an air-operated double diaphragm pump, Design Level 7, with heavy-duty flap valves. The pilot valve and air valves are engineered to perform without lubrication. The air system will operate with compressed air supplies that are lubricated properly.

Sandpiper HDF3-A metal pumps are available in a variety of construction materials to meet different handling requirements. Pumps using Nitrile are excellent general-purpose pumps with oil-resistance. Maximum operating temperature for Nitrile is 190º F / 88º C. Nitrile should not be used for acetone or polar solvents.
Pumps utilizing Urethane are resistant to abrasives but have little resistance to oils and solvents. Maximum operating temperature for Urethane is 150º F / 66º C. Other materials include Neoprene, Hytrel and Santoprene. HDF3 pumps are also available with CF-8M Stainless Steel.
Pumps are manufactured under ISO 9001 Quality System and ISO 14001 Environmental Management System certifications. The pump should be grounded to reduce static sparking. Pumps meet the European Community Directive 2006/42/EC on Machinery. HDF3 pumps, with no aluminum parts, meet ATEX Directive 94/9/EC.
