SandPIPER HDF1A Pump

Flap valve HDF Series Sandpiper pumps are design to meet the demands of pumping liquids with suspended solids and heavy slurries. The heavy-duty flap-valve style allows line-size solids to flow through without damaging the pump system. HDF Series Pumps use air operated double diaphragms. Discharge porting options can be chosen with the 1 inch model pumps.

The standard features of the HDF1A pump include:

  • Displacement Per Stroke: .09 gallon / .34 liter
  • Maximum Flow: 42 gallon / 159 liter per minute
  • Maximum Discharge Pressure: 125 PSI / 8.6 BAR
  • Accommodates Pipe Size of 1 in. / 25 mm NPTF
  • Air Inlet Port: ½ in. NPTF
  • Air Exhaust Port: ¾ in. NPTF
  • Maximum Solid Size Capability: 1 in. / 25 mm

Performance ratings are based on an elastomer pump with water at ambient conditions. Changes in manufacturing materials and hydraulic conditions may cause deviations of 5% or more.

The inner diaphragm plate is manufactured from plated steel. Valve seats use stainless steel. Stainless steel or cast iron are available choices for the outer chamber. Diaphragm choices include Nitrile, Neoprene, EPDM, FKM, Sanotprene and Hytrel. Material choices are also available for the flap valve, seat and manifold seal. Maximum, minimum and ideal operating temperatures for the flap valve HDF Series Sandpiper® pumps depend on the materials chosen.

Air valves have a no-lubrication, no-stall design. However, they will operate with lubricated compressed air. Double Diaphragm pumps can be operated with nitrogen, natural gas or compressed air. Flap valve HDF Series Sandpiper pumps meet certification requirements including ISO9001 and Environmental Management System ISO14001. All pumps have a 5-year Limited Warranty and are ATEX compliant with grounding.
